Arts and Gardens Festival in the parishes of Aslacton, Bunwell, Carleton
Rode Great Moulton and Tibenham, June 2004

The Arts and Gardens Festival was held across the
five parishes of the Pilgrim Benefice from 11 to 21
June 2004. The aim of the festival was to raise much
needed funds for the churches and also strenghten
ties between the village communities. The week was
a great success and raised more than expected.
The week was started by a Choral Evensong with the
Bishop of Norwich in Tibenham Church. Activities
over the first weekend included a flower festival in
Aslacton Church, fete and open church
There was an open air performance by the Carleton Rode Jubilee Players mid-week. Over the
second weekend there was a flower festival in Carleton Rode church, exhibition of sculptures
by Mark Goldsworthy, the "Rector's Notes" concert and a children's art exhibition in Carleton
Rode School.
Both weekends saw a variety of different gardens open in Aslacton, Great Moulton, Bunwell
and Carleton Rode. The festival was completed by a well deserved coffee evening.
